General Information

The American Legion San Leon Post 291 is located in sunny San Leon, Texas in Galveston County, near the Gulf of Mexico.   Post 291 is in the 9th District, 3rd Division, Department of Texas.   The Post Commander for 2010 is Boyd Thomure.

General Membership Meetings are held on the first  Thursday of each month at 7:00 P.M.
The Executive Committee meet on the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 P.M.  The Board of Trustees meet on the third Thursday of each month at 6:00 P.M.
The newly rebuilt Post Clubroom is open to the public and for members along with their guests, Monday through Friday from 12:00 Noon until 12:00 Midnight; and until 1:00 A.M. on Saturday. It is open on Sunday from 12:00 Noon until 9:00 P.M.

The Post and its activities are supported by the Ladies Auxiliary Unit 291.   The Post sponsors the Sons of The American Legion Squadron 291   and The American Legion Riders.
